Most natural girls have a hair product stash. While some naturals product stashes may bigger or small than others I think we all have one. Being a natural hair product junkie is real so you often end up with a products that you might only use once or sometimes not at all. This all in the quest to find the perfect combination to keep your hair moisturized but also with a bomb style. Youtube product pushers aren’t as aggressive as they once were but there are still some out there and with companies dropping new lines every few months it can be hard not pick up new products before you have finished your old products.
The past year my goal has been to not buy so many hair products and use up what I have. I have done pretty good but I still have products that I haven’t touched or haven’t touched in months. I have given some products away and thrown products that were expired or a funny smell/look. I think I have gotten it down to something manageable stash. I have tried to use up my stash before and the thing that I have found that works is use all of my products from the same brand for a month. That is the point I’m at now, so I want to take you along with me as use these products and will do mini reviews at the end of the month. I will also go back to keeping a hair journal so that I will have place to reference on whether a product is worth repurchasing or not. The only time I won’t stick with the product line of the month is if I have an event and need a specific look that I know I can’t achieve with that line. The hair line I will use for the remainder of July are products that are Sally’s specific lines that include Pure Oils, Texture ID and Silk Elements.
Pure Oils: shampoo, leave-in, twist cream, gel and moisturizer
Texture ID: shampoo
Silk Elements: mayonnaise deep conditioner
